Meet Dr. Akam Muhammad

Dr. Akam Muhammad (goes by Dr. Akam) has a great passion for helping others, and it really shows in his approach to care. He takes time to listen, get to know each patient, and places a special emphasis on their experience. He’s often complimented on his gentle techniques and ability to help patients make informed decisions about their oral health.

Dr. Akam is committed to continuing education to best service his patients. He ensures our practice stays up-to-date with the latest developments in implant, cosmetic, aligner technology, and restorative procedures.

• Akam grew up in north Kansas City
• Graduated as a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from UMKC School of Dentistry
• Also at UMKC, Dr. Akam received his bachelors in Chemistry and his minor in Healing and Humanities
• He’s an active member of the American Dental Association

• Married to Taban, and is a father of two girls: Ella and Mila
• Outside of work, Dr. Akam enjoys spending time with his family. His two girls keep him busy
• He is a BIG Chiefs fan
